I wasn’t so diligent documenting last night via grainy, barely perceptible blackberry photos, so I’ll editorialize a bit more on this one.

Irving for Santogold, Yo Majesty and Spank Rock. Watched D’Mite (I’m not a rapper, I’m a poet with a hip-hop style)’s set.

Found out Santogold wasn’t going on. Took off for the Delancey. Bought these:

and got a special “friend of the band” discount cause my buddy bummed Bling Kong’s guitarist a smoke. Righteous!

Found out Santogold was at that very moment rushing to Irving. Stayed for Cale Parks‘ set:

and the Narrator (no shitty pic available). My buddy and I parted - he headed back to Irving and I foolishly wandered over to AK47 in time for painfully poseur party central. Got a text from Irving: MIA is onstange right now!!!!

I got a tall boy, hailed a cab, and headed home marginally defeated.

This one goes out to Fausto, the super trooper who got off the plane from San Fran and headed straight to Webster Hall to catch UNKLE. And there I was bitching about the commute from Brooklyn.
